Get ready to dive into the world of hip-hop royalty and entrepreneurship like never before! Today’s guest is a living legend, a true mastermind in the game, and an inspiration to aspiring artists and entrepreneurs alike — Master P.

Who is Master P?

With a career spanning decades, he has not only left a permanent mark on the music industry as a pioneering artist but has also made significant strides as an entrepreneur and dedicated philanthropist.

His rise to fame began in the early 1990s when he founded No Limit Records, an independent record label that would go on to become a major force in the hip-hop industry. He released several albums in the 90s, and his breakthrough album “Ghetto D” came out in 1997, achieving mainstream success and going certified triple platinum, featuring his highest-charting single to date “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!”

As he continued to release an insane amount of music, Master P also ventured into various business and investing endeavors. He established the conglomerate company No Limit Enterprises, which grossed $110 million in 1998 alone. Other ventures included No Limit Films, where he produced and starred in several movies, No Limit Sports, representing NBA players like Ricky Williams, a clothing line, a real estate company, a communications firm, and a variety of other businesses. This past year, he even launched a cereal line with fellow rapper Snoop Dogg, which donates a portion of the proceeds to charities focused on food insecurity and homelessness.

An incredibly significant business move that Master P made, which still has effects today, was striking a music distribution deal with Priority Records that left No Limit Records having 100% ownership of their master recordings and allowed them to keep 85% of their record’s sales.

Master P is also known for his philanthropic efforts, including his work in his community and initiatives to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth. He established the “P. Miller Youth Centers” in various cities, providing educational resources, sports programs, and mentorship to underprivileged youth. He also founded the P. Miller Food Foundation for the Homeless.

You guys are in for a great discussion with an incredibly business-savvy musician!
