PowerShift: Bethenny Frankel
Being the first runner-up on NBC’s The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005 was not enough to fulfill Bethenny Frankel’s businesswoman dreams, and after becoming a household name through her role on The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny created her iconic SkinnyGirl brand. As the founder and CEO of the company, she is actively involved in the development of new lines, from snacks to skin care to jeans. She is also the author of multiple New York Times best-selling books, including her 2009 debut Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting. Bethenny has also been a guest Shark on Shark Tank and founded the B Strong charity, which provides real-time emergency assistance to women in need, and its subdivisions B Strong: Find Your Yes and B Strong: Disaster Relief. Bethenny prides herself on her ability to use her platform to give back to those less fortunate than her and to provide disaster relief in areas affected by natural disasters.
