On February 28th, Bombas hosted their first 60K Day, bringing together 60 of New York’s most influential companies, with 60 New York-based shelters and service centers, to volunteer and collectively donate 60,000 pairs of socks in one evening. Their goal for 60k Day was to bring together some of the greatest New York based companies – including Daymond’s brand consulting company The Shark Group – to unify around a common cause, spread acts of kindness and raise awareness around homelessness.
On any given night in NYC, there are 60,000 homeless men, women, and children. Socks are the #1 most requested item at homeless shelters. Bombas, who got an investment from Daymond on Season 6 of Shark Tank, was founded to help solve that issue. For every pair purchased, a pair is donated to someone in need.
