Hey everyone, it's Daymond here, and I want to share with you the driving force behind why I created Black Entrepreneurs Day. This initiative means a lot to me, and I believe it can make a significant impact on our communities and the world at large.
The Why?
I created Black Entrepreneurs Day because, I felt utterly helpless when I witnessed the challenges and injustices that were happening in our country. I'm a firm believer that throughout history, when we've seen great injustices, whether it was apartheid, the Holocaust, or the civil rights movement, it was people of all colors coming together to say, "This is wrong, and we need to make a change."
Back in those moments in history, it was the unity of diverse voices that paved the way for progress and justice. When I was sitting at home, watching businesses being burned, witnessing people losing hope, I couldn't just stand by and do nothing. I couldn't help but think, "Who's going to step up and make a difference?" It was then that I realized, why not me? So, I decided to utilize the relationships I've built over the years to initiate change.
Coming Together
I picked up the phone and called my friends at JPMorgan Chase, along with many other influential individuals. People like Shaquille O'Neal, Bob Johnson, Ice T, and so many others who share the same passion for positive change. I told them, "We need to give people hope. We need to inspire and empower our community to rise above these challenges."
With the collective power of these incredible individuals, Black Entrepreneurs Day was born. It's not just about putting on a show, it's about creating a platform where successful entrepreneurs from all walks of life can share their stories, especially their failures. Because success isn't just handed to anyone; it's born from hard work, resilience, and learning from mistakes.
I want every single person out there to know that success is attainable, regardless of your background or circumstances. You didn't just get to where you are today without facing obstacles and setbacks. It's in those moments of struggle and perseverance that we find our true strength.
The Journey
So, when you tune in to Black Entrepreneurs Day, know that it's not just about celebrating success; it's about embracing the journey, failures, and triumphs of entrepreneurs who have overcome adversity to achieve their dreams. It's about instilling hope, providing guidance, and creating opportunities for aspiring black entrepreneurs.
In Conclusion
Black Entrepreneurs Day is a testament to the power of unity and hope. It's a call to action for all of us to come together, regardless of our backgrounds, to uplift our community and create a brighter future for generations to come. Together, we can achieve greatness, break down barriers, and pave the way for a more inclusive and prosperous world. Join us on this journey towards empowerment and change.
