I’m bringing you another Powershift Your Week segment! This week, we’re learning together about:
- Successful crowdfunding campaigns
- Social media branding (and the biggest branding mistake business owners make)
- The recipe to success and
- Consistent messaging
I also had the immense pleasure of sitting down and chatting with the founders of veteran-owned business, Black 6 Coffee Trading Co. about how they’re using their company to make an impact.
This “Powershift Your Week” is presented by T-Mobile® for Business.
Did You Know: According to The Manifest, 74% of consumers follow brands on social media, and 96% of these consumers interact on social media with the brands they follow. Something that a lot of entrepreneurs get mixed up is that you are your brand - you can’t separate yourself from your business! Daymond John has always been a part of FUBU, and FUBU has always been a part of Daymond John. Make sure that your personal social media pages reflect your business, too.
Motivation Mix: Check out today’s song, Remember The Name by Fort Minor - “This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain and 100% reason to remember the name” - People ask me all the time what the recipe to success is, and this is about as close as you can get to it! You can find it on the Powershift Your Week Motivation Mix on Spotify → https://dj.daymondjohn.com/spotify
T-Mobile For Business Fan Q&A: This week, I talked to Joseph Zoleta about his company, Black 6 Coffee Trading Co. Black 6 Coffee funds Black 6 Project, a medical and disaster relief program.
As veterans, Joseph and his team are driven to serve - Black 6 Project provides care for several communities, including Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and Mindoro, Philippines. We talk about crowd-funding, shifting distribution throughout COVID, their plans to create a mobile coffee van that doubles as a disaster relief van, and what it was like for Joseph and I to grow up in Hollis, Queens!
