FUBU is featured in The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture

September 24th marked the official opening of The Smithsonian’s Nation Museum of African-American History & Culture in Washington D.C. The museum, who’s construction was approved over 13 years ago, stands on the National Mall amongst other important and iconic symbols of American history. Featured within the museum is memorabilia of legendary clothing brand, FUBU, founded by CEO Daymond John and his three partners, Keith Perrin, Carl Brown and J. Alexander Martin.  FUBU, “for us by us”, is an iconic brand known for introducing urban streetwear to the market, a category that was virtually nonexistent before its time.

The opening ceremony included a dedication by President Barack Obama and was attended by former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
