My journey into entrepreneurship began with a love for fashion, a gap in the market, and a whole lot of hustle. What began as a side gig selling handmade hats quickly grew into something much bigger, eventually becoming the globally recognized brand FUBU. But the transition didn't happen overnight. I continued to work at Red Lobster until FUBU could sustain me financially.

Recognizing the Signs
Here are some clear signs that might indicate it's time to make that leap of faith:
1. Your passion has turned into proficiency:
When you're spending most of your free time on your side hustle and loving every minute of it, that's passion. But when that passion starts turning into proficiency and you're honing specialized skills, it's a sign you might be ready to go full-time.
2. Your side hustle is profitable:
If your side hustle is consistently making more money than just covering its own costs, and the revenue stream seems solid, it's a good sign. It means the market values what you're offering.
3. You have a strong client or customer base:
A loyal customer base that's growing is a testament to your product or service. If people are coming back for more and referring others to your business, you're doing something right.
4. You’re ready to scale:
When you’ve reached the point where you can’t grow your business without dedicating more time to it, this is a key sign that you might be ready to take it full time.
5. Your full-time job feels like a distraction:
If you find yourself constantly thinking about your side hustle during your 9-5, or if it feels like your day job is getting in the way of your entrepreneurial dreams, it's time to consider making a switch.
