Daymond – loving the blog/site, loving the tweets.

Why did this one not make the show?

    Thanks,

I absolutely love this show! I think he made a mistake not taking Barbara’s offer. He was definitely greedy and the last shark took advantage of that. He knew Mr. Greedy would be desperate for an offer after Barbara took her’s off the table. He came in offering 10% and in the end gave up 51%! He’s an employee of his own company that hasn’t even turned a profit yet. Too bad, too sad.

Most of the entrepreneurs I see on the show have a “build it and they will come” approach. They have an idea, but rarely a well define action plan. In this particular case : I need money to produce more bottles and starting our marketing plan… it’s not an action plan! It’s a business plan for your accountant!

He doesn’t need any money for production! He doesn’t have any customers / distributers! When you have a signed distribution contract, the bank will be there for you. Robert made a bad deal. Even if he invest 400K for production / marketing, the distribution issue will stay.

Kevin Harrington was the guy to focus on in this particular case, because he already has a distribution channel. He is always looking for “ready to go products” and that’s exactly the case here. If Vincent requested 200,000$ (25% shared) for helping him to build a distribution channel, I’m sure that Kevin H. have jumped in… if he believes in this product. A better deal for Vincent, and better chance of success.

But, maybe Robert can convince Kevin to distribute…

This guy had no personality. It was a good idea, but he had the personality of a circus peanut. Also, Daymond doesn’t seem to be getting any deals. People on the message boards are saying he should be replaced. It seems like he only wants to invest when someone else does.

Watched the clip with the Pies and thought it was a great deal made. I have also tasted those pies, and they are great. I know if he did not take the deal, Daymond would have dropped out of the deal. I have watched all the episodes, and must say, Daymond is one of the shewdest ones when it comes to getting him to deal. Great show, it definitely helps people when trying to make a deal and borrow someone elses money.
