Daymond Supports Lemonade Day for Youth Empowerment

Because starting a business created a vision for the rest of Daymond’s future, Daymond believes that this empowerment can be instilled in people of all ages–including kids.

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business with a lemonade stand that began in 2007 at Houston, Texas. Since then it has grown from 2,700 kids to 120,000 kids in 31 cities across America and Canada in 2011.

Babson College championed the effort to bring Lemonade Day to Boston. The program compliments Babson’s mission to educate leaders who can create great economic and social value everywhere. The celebration will take place on May 5, 2012.

The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.
