Display of Power – Point of the Week

MISTAKES…This week, think about all the mistakes you’ve made in the course of your life. The younger you were, the more mistakes and bad decisions you made. As you mature in life, you make fewer and fewer mistakes due to the knowledge you’ve acquired along the way. As you grow, you also gain more and more fear of not wanting to make as many mistakes. The fear of making mistakes and facing embarrassment becomes so strong that it stunts your growth. You stop trying new things, you stop taking chances and you may even stop believing in your dreams.

Once the fear of making mistakes becomes so overwhelming, you stop progressing in life. All people with “TRUE POWER” understand that “IF YOU ARE NOT MAKING A LOT OF MISTAKES IN LIFE, THEN YOU AREN’T MAKING A LOT OF MOVES IN LIFE!” Questions and comments are welcome at here or let me stretch ya mind daily on twitter @ daymondjohnFubu.

Have a great week and understand that mistakes are a part of life!

LOVE vs. NEED…This week, give some thought to the relationship you may be in. As we enter relationships in our lives, we normally hope that they grow to be something of great value. The traditional way we start is as two people enjoying each other’s company; then hopefully we move more into the area of love, marriage, family, partners and companions for life.

From the beginning to the end, the love and the need for each other should always grow. But ask yourself what is more important – to be loved or to be needed? When a person becomes important in your life, both will play a major part. But “need” can often be a greedy and selfish act on one’s part that eventually damages the relationship.

Those with “TRUE POWER” understand that “THE BEST RELATIONSHIP IS THE ONE IN WHICH YOUR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER EXCEEDS YOUR NEED FOR EACH OTHER.” Have a great week as you put love before need in your relationships.

This weekend, we spent Easter and Passover with our families and loved ones. We are often so focused on our careers that we forget the value of the ones we love. I’m often surrounded by individuals with fame and fortune, but nobody to share it with.

I’m not immune to this disease either, and have made this tragic mistake in the past as well. We often work so hard to take care of those we love, not realizing that fame and fortune eventually hurts those we were trying to provide for and protect in the first place.

Those with “TRUE POWER” come to learn that “NO SUCCESS IN PUBLIC LIFE CAN COMPENSATE FOR FAILURE IN THE HOME”…Benjamin Israeli. Take this time to value what is really important and everything else will fall into place.

LEADERS…This week, think about true leaders. There are many leaders in our lives from our parents, to teachers, to bosses, to heads of government, but just because somebody has been cast into the position of leadership doesn’t mean he or she is a good leader or worthy of the title.

Many leaders fear being overpowered by the ones they lead, so their intent is to never give the ones they lead the power or knowledge to lead on their own. This can actually be counter-productive to the overall progression of both leader and follower. There will be many times in your life that you will be faced with the opportunity of being a leader. If you use this power in the correct manner, it will only make you and those around you more powerful!

Those with “TRUE POWER” know that “GREAT LEADERS DON’T TRAIN GREAT FOLLOWERS, THEY TRAIN OTHER GREAT LEADERS.” Have a great week.
